Best Indie Comics: Week of June 19, 2024

We’ve got one of our most diverse lineups of indie comics yet! While Image Comics still has the most picks among any publisher, BOOM! Studios and Dark Horse also have plenty of great titles coming out this week! We’ve got comics from Tom King, Dan Watters, Ram, V, and even Todd McFarlane himself to look forward to reading. So without further ado, let’s get to my selection of the best indie comics this week! 

Best Image Comics of the week

Destro #1

In the wake of Cobra Commander’s meddling with Energon, Destro emerges as a superpower within the weapons development industry. However, the criminal mastermind quickly learns there are plenty of other violent threats vying to take his spot for their own. And so begins the next stage in Skybound’s incredible Energon Universe.

Dandelion TP

From writer Sabir Pirzada comes a new thought-provoking sci-fi anthology series featuring artwork by Martin Morazzo, Vanesa Del Rey, and many more! This new OGN tells the tale of a world where climate change and automation have changed the face of civilization. The different stories paint the picture of a dystopian world slowly losing its grip on reality.

Briar #6

I Heart Skull Crusher #4
