It’s time to dive into the best comics releasing this week from indie publishers like Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Oni Press, and more!

We’re in for another loaded week of comics from a bunch of different indie publishers. In fact, I had a bit of trouble keeping the list within just ten picks because there are so many great comics to choose from this week! I will be talking about titles from Image Comics, Oni Press Dynamite, Dark Horse Comics, and even Titan Books! But even though these next titles are my personal favorites, be sure to check out the rest of the releases from these amazing publishers! There are plenty of great comics to check out, and we readers are eating good. With that said, let’s get to my list of comics for the week! 

Best Image Comics of the Week

Scarlett #1

With Kaya’s arm looking more organic than robotic, it seems plenty of strange things have happened since the story last left off. What happened to Kaya and Jin throughout their journey? The only way to find out is to read this new issue! Also, look out for the special backup story by rising comic book superstar Juni Ba!

This beautifully strange comic book is another one you must see to believe as it delivers a reading experience like no other. 

Precious Metal #1

A prequel to the hit 2019 sci-fi comic Little Bird, Precious Metal follows the gritty tale of Max Weaver as he tries to find answers about his past through the genetically modified powers of a mysterious young boy. Unlike anything you can imagine, the comic is set in a mesmerizing world. This comic is simply pure sci-fi goodness similar to media like Dune, Akira, and Blade Runner. Check this one out if you want to get your socks knocked off.

The Minor Threats universe continues to grow in incredible ways, and this latest issue is a testament to the great work being put in by the creative team!
