With DC Absolute Universe in full swing, April will have the debut of Absolute Green Lantern into the mix. DC has been killing it with everything about the Absolute Universe and I can’t wait to see more. Other than that, the new Fire & Ice and Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual has my attention for the month. World’s Finest, especially, is arguably DC’s best series out right now, and annuals are always plenty of fun to jump into.

DC’s latest solicitations include listings for trades and hardcovers that go as far as October 2025. But from now until there, each month looks packed with great releases for all you trade waiters out there. What immediately caught my eye was seeing the 1980s comic Doctor Fate by J.M. DeMatteis get a modern reprinting. As great as it is seeing current comics get collected, it’s always fun seeing lesser-known books get brought back for newer readers to enjoy. That being said, I also can’t wait for more collected editions of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest to slide into my collection.

Not to sound like a broken record, but a lot of my attention is drawn to DC’s Absolute Universe. Just look at the top of the list and you’ll see just how many incredible titles are part of that lineup already. Come April, it’s only going to get even bigger. Absolute Wonder Woman is still currently my favorite of the bunch, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the new comics debuting this year. 

But to extend beyond the Absolute Universe, New Gods and Metamorpho and both new series that I really enjoyed the start of. I’m very eager to see how these strange stories continue, as they are both by creators I’m a big fan of. DC has been on a roll the past few years and there are so many reasons why you should have at least a couple of their books on your pull list.
