LIVE MEMORIUM TP (MR)
Description
Live Memorium is a standalone dystopian cyberpunk graphic novel about Thomas, an introverted accountant in a sprawling megalopolis where a shady company manufactures sex dolls. After his mother's death, he uses Live Memorium, an illegal tech that lets users relive childhood memories and alter events. Inside the machine, he confronts his trauma by seeing his mother again, gains confidence in real life, and reconnects with his childhood sweetheart, but the altered memories blur with reality, triggering a self-destructive spiral as virtual and real worlds merge. The story, told in elegant, Otomo-like panels, blends noir mood with tech-noir speculation. Writing by Miki Makusa and art by Ben Bourget (cover by Bourget) crafts a moody, intimate, and thought-provoking meditation on memory, grief, and isolation in an urban future. Fans of Domu, Akira, and Black Mirror will find a mature, visually striking work that asks how technology reshapes identity.
