Imagine a world where Earth's mightiest heroes—Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, and more—succumb to a horrifying virus and turn into a horde of ravenous zombies. Robert Kirkman took this wild idea and created an alternate Marvel Universe unlike anything before. What other horror graphic novels are you going to read that has Magneto being eaten by zombified Avengers? Not many, I assume. But more than being a gruesomely violent take on the Marvel Universe, Zombies is filled with dark humor as the undead heroes are devilishly self-aware of how messed up their world is. To this day, Marvel Zombies is a beloved story for fans because of its twisted and hilarious nature.
