Description
Globitron partner and artist, Ben Balvanz, created the B-BOTS in 1999, as a fun hidden easter egg on his font site Fontalicious.com. Having created some of the most used fonts of the 90’s and early aughts, Ben had a cult following that was excited to find his strange little hip-hop robots dancing behind secret misclicks.
JJ Koolbot is just your classic sensitive, sad boi artist. JJ just wants to express himself - through murals painted on the sides of bodegas and laundromats. A natural leader, the other B-Bots look up to him. He is always trying to stick it to "the man," but at his core, wants nothing but for his family to thrive.
Frog Legs is the annoying little brother of the B-BOTS. He loves TikTok and wants to be internet famous more than anything. He loves to pull pranks on the crew, especially Tabletron, he hates conflict and believes all problems should be solved via dance battle.
Runtron84 is confident, outspoken, and a natural communicator, Runtron is the best at relating to the modern world and is happy to patiently teach the others everything he knows. He is very entrepreneurial and is always coming up with a new side hustle.
Tabletron is a square, literally and figuratively. He always follows the rules, even if it puts him in an awkward situation. A total music nerd, he works at a hipster record store in Brooklyn. He has multitudes of obscure music knowledge that nobody ever wants to hear, as his job is to literally "just play the record!" He is a hopeless romantic who, unfortunately, is always falling in love with the wrong tech.
Odysseus is a Daddy's bot who never recovered when Dr. Dyson disappeared. He is the perpetual pot-stirrer, a classic middle child. He is driven by the desire to emulate his favorite 80s movie villains. He's anti-new tech and misses the analog devices of the past. He is a bit of a grifter and a scammer, but would never do anything that would cause lasting harm - just minor inconveniences.
